The story of X3M Designs
began in the mid 80´s.

At that time, the painter was just a kid inspired by the American supercross riders and their cool helmet designs. Fact was, that when you bought a new helmet in 1986, you had to choose from a plain white helmet or a white helmet with a sticker. That’s it. This wasn’t good enough and at 13 years of age, Henrik Skoglund painted his first helmet, shown on this picture:

Some years went by and friends came over to get their helmets painted. Even snowboards, phones, rock guitars and mailboxes got new designs.

In the early 90’s the interest for supercross and helmet painting had grown in Europe. X3M Designs had now become a full-time job along with the personal racing career.
During the 90’s, many of Sweden´s fastest motocross riders got their helmets painted at X3M Designs. The designs are countless with more than 500 helmets saved on pictures. In January 2000, the paint shop was destroyed by a fire and it was the end of an era.
